Purim Night Megilla Reading and Party

Following the reading of the Megilla on the eve of Purim, the entire community is invited to join Bais Menachem for an evening of celebration with music and dancing, and plenty of food and drink.

Megilla Reading & Shalach Manot for Shut-Ins

On Purim, one of the most joyous days on the jewish calendar, many people, especially the elderly, are unfortunately unable to go out and celebrate with their friends and family. At Bais Menachem, our staff and students spend much of their Purim day visiting with people in their homes, hospitals, and nursing homes to bring the traditions and the joy of Purim to Jews whereever they may be.

Purim Day Seuda

Our annual Purim meal has become the highlight of year at Bais Menachem. The Seuda, formerly held at the home of Rabbi Zvi and Suri Perlman's, was moved to the Bais Menachem building in 2004 to make room for the growing number of community members who take part each year. A full multi-course dinner is served with plenty of drink in the spirit of the joyous holiday.
