Director & Dean

Uri Perlman is the director and founder of Bais Menachem. He studied in Yeshivas in California, New York, and Australia. Upon graduation he returned to Melbourne where he guided Jewish high school boys from a range of religious backgrounds. He then was sent on Shlichus to the Yeshiva in London for a year; followed by a year in Jerusalem where he worked with at-risk youth. Uri resides in Canadensis, PA with his wife and children.

 

Mashpia

Pinny Levitin brings a unique love and care for each of his students, embodying true Ahavas Yisroel in every interaction. A living example of a true Chosid, he lives his life dedicated to the Rebbe's values, both in and out of the yeshiva. Pinny is a role model for the students, always striving to inspire by example. He now resides in Kingston, PA with his wife and family, where he is deeply involved in the community, always encouraging other Jews to increase in mitzvot and Torah learning.

 

Principal

Yossi Goodman is the principal of Bais Menachem. He attended Yeshivah in New York and Eretz Yisroel. He was then sent on Shlichus to the Torah Academy Boys High School in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he worked with Jewish youth from diverse backgrounds. Yossi brings over 10 years of experience working with Jewish youth to his role at Bais Menachem, He currently lives in Canadensis, PA with his wife and children.

 

Teacher & Mentor

Lazer Gajer is a teacher, mentor and manages many of the moving parts in Bais Menachem. Raised in Crown Heights he attended Yeshivas in New York and Eretz Yisroel. Lazer has over 15 years of experience working with young men in a variety of roles in yeshivas of all kinds.

 

Rabbi of Advanced Learning Program

Yair Cohen has been a key part of our Advanced Learning Program at Bais Menachem for six years, where he teaches Gemara and Halacha. Originally from Los Angeles, he’s studied at yeshivas in LA, Brunoy, and the Poconos. Now, he lives on campus in Canadensis, PA with his wife and son, bringing his passion for learning to our students every day.

 

Advanced Learning Program Teacher

Zusha Sandman is a teacher in our Advanced Learning Program, grew up in both Chicago and London. He teaches Gemara and Chassidus, always striving to build deep, genuine relationships with the boys. Zusha’s search for truth is something that the bochurim feel in a palpable way, creating an environment where deep learning and personal growth thrive.

 

 

Teacher

Ari Holtzman grew up in Crown Heights, NY, and has since become an integral part of the Bais Menachem team. He studied at yeshivas in Cincinnati, OH, Tzfat, Israel, and completed his rabbinical ordination in Venice, Italy. After serving as a Shliach at Bais Menachem for three years, Ari returned to campus as a teacher, bringing his diverse experiences and passion for education. He now lives on campus with his wife and newborn daughter, continuing to inspire and guide students every day.

 

Teacher

Mendel Perlman having grown up around Bais Menachem, shares a deep-rooted connection to our community. He studied at yeshivas in New Haven, Manchester, Brunoy, and New York, and spent two years mentoring at Bais Menachem. Mendel also spent a year on Shlichus, working with a campus Chabad house and helping boys find their path. He now teaches Halacha, JLI courses, and shares his love for nigunim with the Bochurim at Bais Menachem. He lives in Canadensis with his wife and newborn son.

 

The Shluchim

The Shluchim Are an integral part of our success at Bais Menachem. These young men (20 - 23 years old) serve as teachers, tutors, mentors, and friends to our students. Whether a boy is in need of extra attention or just an older friend to guide him, the Shluchim are there around the clock to assist our students in any way possible.
