Lag B'Omer Celebration for Local Israelis
A special celebration was held for the Israeli community in our area in honor of Lag B'Omer. A group of 25 young Israeli men and women gathered at Bais Menachem Monday evening for a Lag B'Omer celebration. The festivities lasted well into the night and the participants enjoyed a barbecue and mini bonfire. Led by our shliach Mendy Baitz and our other staff, inspiring words, songs, and ideas were shared by all in a true spirit of unity and joy.
The Israeli participants, some of whom now reside in our area with their families, and many who only live here for a few months at a time, are regularly visited by our students and staff throughout the year, for Torah study, brotherhood, performance of the mitzvot of tefillin and mezuzah, and at times join us for Shabbat and Holiday celebrations as well.
